Sri Devi dies in Dubai

Bollywood actress Sridevi died after Cardiac arrest in Dubai on 25th February, while she was attending her nephew Mohit Marwaha"s wedding.She was accompanied by her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi. She was 54.
Popularly hailed as the first female superstar of Hindi cinema, the actor was in Dubai with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi to attend nephew and actor Mohit Marwah's wedding.
Sri Devi made her debut at the age of four as child artist in Tamil Movie Thunaivan. She made her first screen apperance in bollywood in 1975 at Child artist in film Julie at age of 13. Her first film as lead actress in bollywood was after three years in Solva Saawan in 1978.She had first blockbuster hits paired with Jeetendra in movies Himmatwala, Maawali, and Tohfa. Her other superhit movies are Naya Kadam, Maqsad,Mr. India,Waqt Ki Awaj,Chandni,Khuda Gawah,Ladla,Judai.She was nominated 10 times for filmfare and won 5 times.
Sri Devi married Boney Kapoor,a sucessful film producer, and had two daughters Khusi and Janvi .
She made a comeback in bollywood in movie English Vinglish, after 15 years, with a remarkable performance.
Sri Devi was awarded Padamsree,a highly honoured civilian award, by government of India in 2013.
