Rani Mukerji in an Indian Bollywood actress. Being the daughter of film director, Ram Mukherjee her ticket to bollywood was not difficult. She started her career by modelling for Indian brands. She got her first breakthrough with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the year 1998 with Shah Rukh Khan and cousin Kajol. The film won her a Filmfare award for best supporting actress. Within sometime Rani had signed up to do 22 films.

Rani won best actress award for Hum Tum at the Bollywood Movie Awards, Screen, Cinegoers, Sports World, 1st GIFA, Zee Cine, IIFA and at the 50th Filmfare Awards.
