Varun Dhawan was born on 24 April 1987 in Mumbai to well known motion picture director David Dhawan. He studied Business Management from Nottingham Trent University in UK. Varun Dhawan got fame from his debut film in Bollywood,‘Student of the Year under direction of Karan Johar, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Afterthat, he got impressive reviews for his films Main Tera Hero, Badlapur, Judwa-2 and other movies. 

Varun Dhawan began his bollywood career much earlier, as he assisted Karan Johar in direction in movie 'My Name is Khan'.After that he worked to enhance his looks,and finally  Karan Johar gave him a chance to act in film 'Student of the Year' that was the blockbuster of the year 2012. This film gave acting break to three debutants-Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Siddharth Malhotra,and all of them are established stars today. 

 His next Bollywood film was "Main Tera Hero",in which David Dhawan his dad directed him,and the movie was his next blockbuster in sucession. He acted in many films'Badlapur', 'ABCD 2',Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya,Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya,Dishoom and numerous others. He also share screen with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in ' Dilwale' in which he was paired with Kriti Sanon. Again his dad David Dhawan directed him in Judwa-2, which was a remake of Salman Khan's Judwa .
